Carolina Meadows

The residents of Carolina Meadows, a progressive retirement community in Chapel Hill, came to us with a request – build us a website that shows who we really are. Founded as an alternative to traditional retirement communities, Carolina Meadows residents take pride in the vibrancy of their community. They are a hard-to-please bunch, but they like what we did and the site has since been extended into an ad campaign as well as posters, outreach brochures and other collateral material.

The community wanted the site to be a trustworthy resource for information that provides prospective residents with the tools they need to make informed decisions. To that end, we designed clear infographics, developed an apartment finder function and wrote articulate content. We paid careful attention to the site map and architecture, making them as straightforward and easy to navigate as possible. Seeking to capture the spirit of the community, all photography was shot on-site and residents were invited to join in the process. These lively, unposed portraits, combined with ample white space and carefully chosen fonts, create a modern site with plenty of personality.
