This half-century-old, family-owned candy company asked us to help them add online sales to their balance sheet. We mined their heritage for some retro design themes and riffed off that to create a crisp 21st century web presence.
A fully responsive Wordpress site and Shopify storefront allows buyers on any device to satisfy their sweet tooth. It must have been a powerful hankering, because the new capability generated $2.2 million in sales in the first year. Sweet indeed.
#LittleSmarties Halloween Campaign
The #Little Smarties campaign was embraced by the abundant population of blogger moms who sparked to the idea of a DIY Halloween costume contest for their kids celebrating “smarties” throughout history. A Who’s Who of high-achieving smarties were celebrated in miniature, including Jane Goodall, Julia Child and Neal Armstrong, and all were posted at a mini-site Rivers created for the event.
