Cranes have been popping up across the Triangle as efforts to add new commercial and residential properties have intensified in an attempt to keep pace with our region’s explosive growth. Demand is high yet competition is fierce, which has developers turning to Rivers Agency for marketing expertise to help their properties stand out from the crowd.
“Our team takes a nuanced approach to real estate marketing,” said Sarah Owens, executive creative director at Rivers Agency. “Each property has its own personality, characteristics and architectural presence. We immerse ourselves in those aspects for inspiration, which helps us create brands that are authentic and appeal to the type of tenants our clients want to attract.”
5/ten Management, a property management firm and affiliate of the project’s developer, Ram Realty Advisors, recently partnered with Rivers to name and brand its new residential property in Chapel Hill’s mixed-use Blue Hill District.
“We wanted the name to reflect the property’s unique connection to nature while still showcasing its high-end, modern aesthetic,” said Jessica Sutherland, director of marketing and training at 5/ten Management. “Rivers proposed The Elliott at Blue Hill in homage to Stephen Elliott, the “father of southern botany,” for whom Elliott Road is named. Many nearby streets are also named for famed botanists in tribute to UNC botany professor W.C. Coker, who led efforts to establish NC Botanical Gardens and Coker Arboretum.” The Elliott name is grounded in Chapel Hill’s past and infuses the brand with sophisticated luxury and botanical bonafides.
Rivers is also supporting Chapel Hill’s Glen Lennox in its years-in-the-making transformation from a landmark residential community into a reimagined mixed-use property offering housing, retail and office space. The agency refreshed the logo and brand elements while retaining the trademark mid-century modern design ethos. The team also developed the Glen Lennox Vision website, which features an overview of the project, construction updates and future plans while reinforcing owner Grubb Properties’ commitment to responsible development. Regularly updated blog posts drive traffic to the site and keep the development top of mind with investors and future tenants. Throughout the rebranding process, all efforts have been made to retain the unique character and culture of Glen Lennox even as the community is brought into the 21st century.
