The summer of 2020 is shaping up to be unlike any other in recent memory. With more people staying home and opting for staycations over road trips, and with the MLB yet to throw its first pitch, Rivers Agency devised its latest Hampton Farms social media campaign, “Peanuts—Your Summer Super Power,” to connect with consumers and their favorite shared family pastimes.

“This campaign is all about getting back to the brand’s roots and connecting with people where they are right now,” said Sarah Owens, executive creative director at Rivers Agency. “We’re evolving the playful illustrative style we designed for last year’s award-winning “Shell Yeah” campaign and incorporating relatable images that depict how American families are spending their summer.”
The campaign highlights the nostalgia, fun and simplicity of shelling peanuts across the brand’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. It also reinforces the health benefits of eating peanuts, such as their protein, magnesium and fiber content.
